EHFR’s Summit Mk. 1 is a self-contained emergency HF radio solution with an internal computer running FlDigi, integrated 7″ touchscreen and battery power for up to 18 hrs*. This all-in-one rig comes neatly packaged in a waterproof Nanuk case with a CNC machined panel that provides for an external CW key, headphones, microphone, 2 x USBs, antenna (SO239) and charge connector (Anderson PP). The Summit Mk. 1 is based on the Xiegu G90 SDR radio – an ultra-portable 20W 160-10m rig.
Simply open the waterproof Nanuk case, flip the power switch and you’re ready to operate SSB, CW and all modes supported by FlDigi.
This kit includes everything in the case + flexible roll-up keyboard + multi-function Xeigu G90 microphone. This kit does not include the backpack carrier or the Chameleon MPAS antenna system pictured. Expect a 4-6 week lead time after ordering.
* Battery life depends on duty cycle, TX power, and whether or not you’re running the internal computer. 18hrs is based on RX only with the internal computer off. With the internal computer on and a 20% duty cycle at 20W, expect about 6 – 8 hrs of battery life.

The Summit Mk. 1 features a thoughtful layout that ensures the most often used controls are front and center, and that additional peripherals can be attached with ease and speed. 
Key Features
- CNC machined, hand brushed T6061 Aluminum front panel
- Pre-loaded and pre-configured to operate FlDigi + FlRig. For the most streamlined operation, ensure the G90 is powered on immediately after the master power switch is placed in the ON position. This ensures the radio will be detected as the internal computer boots up.
- Both the multifunction microphone and flexible keyboard fit within the case, reducing the gear you need to carry separately.
- The SD Micro card that contains the Raspberry Pi Operating System + installed software is conveniently exposed for easy removal or replacement if necessary.
- Additional software can easily be installed
- 2 x USB 2.0 ports are exposed enabling additional peripheral attachment if desired, such as an external GPS or keyboard (flexible USB keyboard included).
- The battery monitor reports both battery voltage and estimated charge percentage, and automatically shuts off to save power after 10 seconds.
- The large 7″ touchscreen offers a balance of portability and readability.
- The Xiegu G90 Mode and Band switches are exposed through a finger-sized cutout.
- There are connections for an external CW key, headphones and the G90 Multifunction Microphone.
- Internal 12V 12Ah LiFePO4 battery provides up to 18hrs of monitoring (Note: Battery life varies greatly depending on use. With active use, expect 6-8 hours).
